DRIVER’S DOOR PROTECTION
For the remainder of 2017 cars that already have driver’s door top protection (backed with steel tube/RHS/etc.) are not required to change this, if the specification of the steel does not match that stated in the 2017 Technical Specifications. This is at the Scrutineer’s/Promotion’s discretion.
The required steel may run from either rollcage A & B Pillar, or between the A & B door pillar.
If a car has no driver’s door top protection then it MUST be added as per the 2017 Technical Specifications.
