The Annual General Meeting of the Oval Racing Council was held Monday 5th January in Lytham St Annes. The AGM started with the formalities of confirming key positions within the ORCi for the next 12 months.

Mr Steve Rees was re-elected to the appointment of Chairman.

Mr Bill Barrack was re-confirmed as Vice-Chairman.

Mr Keith Organ was re-appointed to the position of Secretary.

A meeting of Full Council ORCi members and invited key personnel followed; with a productive, informative and constructive meeting of over 5 hours. The Short Oval Community continues to face challenges from a number of factors, but the ORCi is fully committed to doing what it can to safe guard the Sport and will be guided by the subject matter experts. The Promoters recognise the frustrations from all at the minimal race dates realised. The Promoters and Governing Bodies are hoping to release the lists as soon as they can, once it’s possible to do so.
